Solar
Water and wastewater utilities are heavy energy users, making them ideal candidates for solar installation. Metro Water Services decided to explore solar opportunities to save money, reduce carbon emissions, and increase resiliency.
MWS has 8 solar systems, totaling 4.41 MW, allowing for beneficial reuse of land and $6M in lifetime savings
Planned to increase total solar capacity at MWS facilities to 20MW
OMO: 5,824 panels, 2.6 MW (MWS largest installation to date.)
